If you see someone in a vest, you MUST ask for their ID before engaging them. Everyone spawns with an ID, which they can equip/unequip at any time. The ID system was introduced to prevent this. This often leads to RDM, when two MTF or Class D kill each other mistakenly. When you see someone with a vest on, its impossible to guess what role they are.
